This Privacy Policy describes how Aureo (the "App"), developed by Matías Bermúdez, handles your information. It applies to the App on both iOS and Android.
Aureo does not collect, store, or share any personal information. All data you enter in the App stays on your device and is never transmitted to any server of ours. The Android app makes no network requests of its own; on iOS, the only one fetches public currency exchange rates and contains none of your data. The one exception is entirely under your control: on Android you may opt in to Android's encrypted cloud backup, which is off by default (see “Backups” below).
All financial data you enter in Aureo (transactions, accounts, budgets, funds, debts) is stored locally on your device. Aureo does not have a backend, user accounts, or cloud sync.
Aureo requests access to the camera solely for receipt scanning. Receipt images are processed entirely on your device — using Apple's Vision framework on iOS and Google ML Kit's on-device text recognition on Android — and are never uploaded to any server.
Aureo requests access to your photos solely to attach receipt images to transactions. These images are never uploaded or shared.
Aureo can send you reminders: payday, budget alerts, weekly summaries, and a notice one week before a free trial ends. These notifications are scheduled and delivered locally by your device. No notification content reaches us or any third party, and no push service ever receives your financial data.
Aureo lets you export a backup file of your data. You choose where that file is saved — device storage, a cloud folder, email. Aureo never uploads backups anywhere; once you export a file it is under your control, and subject to the terms of wherever you choose to store it.
On Android, Aureo also offers an optional cloud backup that uses Android's own backup service to store an encrypted copy of your data in your Google account, so you can restore it if you lose or replace your phone. It is turned off by default and only takes effect if you enable it yourself in Settings → Backup. While it is off, Aureo writes nothing to the backup service. When enabled, the copy is held by Google under the Google Privacy Policy; Aureo has no access to it. You can turn it off at any time from the same screen.
Aureo works offline. The Android app makes no network requests of its own at all — nothing it does reaches any server we run or any third-party API.
On iOS, Aureo makes a single request of its own: it fetches public currency exchange rates from dolarapi.com over HTTPS in order to convert amounts. That request carries no personal or financial information — it asks only for a published exchange rate.
Purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play, as described below.
Aureo offers optional paid subscriptions and a one-time purchase. On iOS these are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system; on Android, through Google Play Billing. Payments are processed entirely by Apple or Google. Aureo does not receive or store any payment information, including card numbers.
Subscriptions that include a free trial convert to a paid subscription automatically unless you cancel before the trial ends. You can cancel at any time from your App Store or Google Play account settings.
Aureo relies on Apple's In-App Purchase system (iOS) and Google Play Billing (Android) to process subscriptions and purchases. Apple and Google may collect information according to their own privacy practices. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy for more information.
On Android, Aureo uses Google ML Kit for on-device text recognition. This component runs locally and does not send images or recognized text off the device.
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all information at any time by uninstalling the App or using the data reset options available within the App.
Aureo is not directed to children under 13 years of age and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
